Our Story

Welcome to How Deep?! Sportfishing, your ultimate destination for fishing and wildlife adventures in Campbell River, British Columbia. Whether you are an experienced angler or a first-time fisherman, we have the perfect trip for you. Join us as we explore the rich waters of the Salish Sea, Discovery Passage, and Johnstone Strait, where you can catch a variety of fish, including Salmon, Halibut, Lingcod, and Rockfish. You will also have the chance to see amazing marine animals, such as Humpback Whales, Killer Whales, Dolphins, Sea Lions, and Eagles. And to top it all off, you will enjoy a delicious shore lunch prepared by you with friendly and knowledgeable guides. We got the BBQ you bring the beer.....

We are passionate about fishing and wildlife, and we love sharing our knowledge and enthusiasm with our guests. Experience the thrill of  fishing for the king of fish, the Chinook Salmon, also known as the Tyee.  You can also target other species of Salmon, such as Coho, Pink, Chum, and  Sockeye, depending on the season. We use a variety of techniques, such as trolling, mooching, jigging, and fly fishing, to give you the best chance  of hooking up.

Witness the beauty and majesty of the largest creatures on earth, the whales. You will have the opportunity to see Humpback Whales, which are known for their acrobatic breaches and vocalizations, and Killer Whales, which are the apex predators of the ocean. You will also encounter other marine mammals, such as Pacific White-Sided Dolphins

Our guides are experts in the area, and will provide you with interesting facts and stories along the way.

You will savor the taste of your catch of the day, cooked over a cedar plank smoked BBQ, along with salad and BYOB. You will also have  some time to relax, explore, and take in the stunning views of the historic

Trevor is a fishing guide and happens to be a trained chef in his past life. He is a natural-born fisherman, and he has fine tuned his fishing skills into a passion. He is always eager to help you advance your fishing skill set. Trevor will show you the amazing wildlife that inhabits the area. He is also a great chef, and he will assist you in preparing the shore lunch.
